Instagram: A Week in Pictures

Welcome back to the blog everyone! I hope you are liking the brand new look, it was time for a change. Instagram is my favourite app and I love posting pictures up whenever I can, so thought I would do a round-up on the blog.

So as I've mentioned, I've made some change to the blog and I'm hoping it's fresher, cleaner and easier to navigate. There are other things I'd like to tweak but unfortunately, my knowledge of these things is limited!

Also this week I managed to get my hands on the essence "me and my umbrella" blush. It's super cute, affordable and really pretty on the cheeks. They also have lipsticks and eyeshadows in this range but I'm finding it hard to track down, they are flying off the shelf.

Lillibug started ballet classes a few weeks back and is absolutely loving it. She takes it super seriously and is always impatient now to get to the classes. It's great to see her love dancing so much, I'm hoping she takes after me with the love for dance.
.

We have books all over our house, as both of us are avid readers, and I'm delighted to see that Lillibug is going the same way. Hans Christian Anderson was always a favourite of mine as a child, so now I'm reading the stories to Lillibug every day. She particularly loves Thumbelina and The Little Mermaid.

I'm a big fan of oils, and now that the colder days have arrived my skin is in dire need of the extra help. I love using the NUXE Huile Prodigieuse on my hair and body it works wonders. It soaks in really well and doesn't leave a greasy feeling but beautiful soft skin. The lip balm is one of my all time favourites to keep my lips in great condition.

I always finish up Sunday nights with filling in my journal for the week ahead and answering my question for the day in my Q&A a day, it makes me so much more organised. I didn't use my NUXE oil tonight on my face because I knew I really wanted to try out the Garnier Moisture Bomb Mask.

I hope you enjoyed the round-up, it's a nice way to do a catch up here on the blog if you don't follow me on Instagram and talk a little bit more about each picture. Have a great week ahead.

If you are on Instagram don't forget to come over and say hello.

Review: Repair-Me Range from Kevin Murphy

Very rare to see me talking about hair products here on the blog, but the struggle with my hair this year was bad. Then I was sent the Kevin Murphy Repair Me range a few months ago. For me, the price tag is on the higher side but read on to see if I've been convinced of it's worth.

So just a little bit about what was wrong with my hair this year... I have thyroid and hormone issue, due to this my hair has been breaking off, it has been also extra fine, frizzy, dull and hair loss. I've tried all the shampoos in the chemist but nothing really has done much for me.

To say I was sceptical of a €26 shampoo would very much be an understatement. However, I was excited to try a product from one of the most sought-after hair stylists in the world, Kevin Murphy! The first day I tried the Repair-Me Wash and Conditioner, then went to visit my mother who thought I had walked out of a hairdresser for the first time in 6 months! So that was an extremely great start to using these.

The motto of the company is "Skincare for your hair" and All KEVIN.MURPHY hair products are sulphate free, paraben free and cruelty-free, which is a bonus to these products. These products are packed with papaya that smoothes the surface of the hair and increases shine. Silk amino acids to help cellular renewal and hair growth. Green Pea Protein to nourish and replenish. The conditioner  (€26) has shea butter to moisturise dry and damaged hair as well as vitamins to help give you healthier stronger hair.

On the third day, I tried out the Re.Store treatment (€32), to be used on its own in place of your shampoo and conditioner. This, however, did not leave me feeling like I just left the hairdresser's chair, but hang on a second there is more to this gem of a product.

This cleansing conditioner takes out all the build up of the hair products you may have used in between washes. This is what I like to call my lazy day shampoo when no one is going to see me. This does leave the hair looking lifeless and string like when used alone, but it seems to be doing wonders for my hair. The ingredients in the Re Store treatment are there to promote elasticity moisture and strength. I have cheated with this product and started to use it as my conditioner after my shampoo and that's left me an acceptable state to go outside.

So after a summer of using these products, my hair has really turned a corner. No breakages happening anymore, my hair is super soft and shiny. Plus, having my hair grow to a good length for the first time in 3 years has made me so happy. My thyroid and hormones are still bad but the Repair me range has made a great change and improvement to my hair. These also smell beautiful in your hair until next wash and the packaging is really cute and easily dispensed. The treatment bottle does have a pump and a clip for travel so no spillages will happen when travelling.

These products can be bought in select salons and also online with Shampoo.ie.
