Urban Decay Afterglow Highlighter "Aura"

I can never resist a highlighter. I like to use it for the top of my cheekbones, the inner corner of my eyes, or go the whole hog and down the bridge of my nose and cupids bow. So when I saw that Urban Decay came out with their Afterglow Highlighter (€28) I knew I had to try it! There are three to pick from Aura, Fireball and Sin. I picked up Aura hoping it would compliment my pale skin and I think I found a winner.

First thing you will notice is the gorgeous packaging, it's sleek, feels durable so no fear of it getting smashed in your bag. The fishnet cut out of UD is meant to help you see into the packaging but this is lost on my eyesight, thankfully though there is a colour sticker on the back of the packaging so problem solved for me.

This is so finely milled, it feels so creamy and super soft making it easy to apply. It applies like a dream and wears for most of the day without losing the glow you set out to achieve. It doesn't leave a powdery finish or settle into fine lines. The pink iridescent is light but packs a punch at the same time especially when the light hits it. You will be left with a luminous sheen finish that sits just perfectly and compliments your complexion.

When I got this first it did remind me of a highlighter I had before, and in one of those "3am moments" it hit me that it was the eyeshadow Aura in the Oz The Great & Powerful ''Glinda'' Palette. I have a picture below of the shadow and it's the beige looking side that is a ringer for the Afterglow Highlighter, both called Aura and both iridescent pink.

If I was to try another one of these highlighters it would definitely have to be "Sin"; a champagne coloured highlight that has a more metallic finish.

What's your go to highlighter? Let me know.
