Holiday Beauty & Fashion Haul

If you read my post on "What's In My Travel Makeup Bag?" you will know I was recently in Cork for our family holiday. We had such a fantastic time together, but of course no break away is complete without some shopping. I only stopped off in three places and I'm delighted with my treats that I saved up for.

First stop was Boots of course and I picked up just a three things, I have to say I was very reserved.

There was a 3 for 2 offer on Maybelline products when I popped in so I got:

Maybelline The Eraser Eye €11.99. A tad bit on the yellow side for me but there is great moisture in it.

Maybelline Color Show €5.99 and I love this colour, lasting power wasn't great so would need a top coat next time for this.

Maybelline Colour Elixir €10.49. All I can say after trying this out is that I really want more for the collection!

Since getting my first taste (so to speak) of MAC last month I knew I had to pick up something else. I was in desperate need of a new foundation and after being colour matched I got MAC Studio Fix Fluid in NW13. I definitely want to review this soon to let you know what I think. €31.50

I fell in love with these scarves straight away and for €6 each, I definitely couldn't go wrong. I do love a bit of Tartan for Autumn/Winter!

The fox slipper socks were €3.50 and come in handy waiting for me by the bed every morning

I am a big fan of tops with collars so I was drawn to this. There were other colours but the pink put a bit of life back into my pale skin. Great for day wear or for the office! €12.00

The colour didn't come out to good in this picture but it is a minty green cardigan with a batwing edge. For €12 I think the shape would suit anybody and a cardigan is always handy to have.

No trip to Pennys could be complete without a canvas shopping bag to put everything into. I love these bags for popping onto the handle of the buggy or if I get an hour to myself to go out you will be sure to see me with one of these bags. €2.00

  4. Nice haul lady!! I love the look of tartan scarves but don't feel they would suit me somehow, for that amazing price, I might just have to buy one myself and experiment! I didn't realise Studio Fix comes in NW13 either! Good job xx

    1. Thanks Aisling! You never know the tartan scarf just might suit you after all especially at €6 :) I was delighted that they had such a fair shade something I've always struggled with in my foundations, and it's not yellow another problem I have when it comes to foundation! xx

  10. Great post, I love little trips down the country and to come home with a secret beauty stash. Totally agree on the maybelline nail polish, I dont purchase anymore because it peels and cracks in hours after application. I love Sally Hansen and Revlon polishes.

    1. Thank you Tracy :) I was so disappointed with the polish because I really like the shade. I recently tried the new Sally Hansen Miracle Gel polish and was really surprised with how well it lasted so definitely will pick up more from the range! x
