Shopping with The Early Years Boutique

I came across The Early Years Boutique on Twitter and quickly followed after I checked out their website. I then got chatting to ??? from The Early Years Boutique and discovered there is only a month between our two toddlers. My little girl is turning two on Saturday and Emma was really helpful in suggesting a few pressies that she might like, so I thought I might share them with you........

The Early Years boutique provides an Online Marketplace, through their website, where small businesses, craft makers and mumtrepeneurs can sell their products.

1. The Musical Princess Box £14.99 by Little Buttons Boutique @ The Early Years Boutique

Cutest little Princess'
I collect musical boxes/globes for my little girl so this was must and it was something I haven't come across before and thought it was so cute! It plays Brahms Lullaby which my mum always sings to Lillibug so it's very fitting. When you wind it up the princess' dance/spin around on top and just know that LO is going to love watching and listening to this music box!

2. Personalised Sleepsuit £10.00 by The Early Years Boutique

I have to say I was nervous at purchasing this because it only went up 18-24 months but Emma put that doubt out of my head when she told me they are big fitting and her little one who is also tall for her age still has plenty of room so I went ahead and put it in the basket. When it arrived I was delighted and the material is so soft and a very big fit. The stitching is really well done and can't see the letters fraying even after months of washing, it is so well done.

Both the items I got arrived wrapped so nicely that I didn't want to open them, but alas they had to be and I am just delighted with what was inside as you can see from above.

I will order again without a doubt from The Early Years Boutique and I have already earmarked a few things for next order. When living in Ireland and ordering from a U.K website everything is in sterling and sometimes it's hard to know what exchange rate a company use but not with The Early Years Boutique. They show the exchange rate at checkout so there won't be any surprises when you check your bank statement, which is something I really appreciated as an Irish customer.

LUSH: Luxury Lush Pud

I was in LUSH heaven last night when I tried out my new bath bomb!

Luxury Lush Pud
The Product:
A Lush bath bomb just in time for Christmas! This is a Lil' Pudding is just beautiful with it's pastel colours and relaxing lavender. The shop assistant told me this is good just before bed to help with relaxing. The bath bomb itself looks really pretty and christmassy just to help get me in the spirit.

Overall Verdict:
The whole bath bomb fizzed up really quick and gave beautiful swirls of pink, yellow, blue to finally make up a gorgeous deep pink. The lavender was ever so relaxing and I struggled to keep my eyes open the whole time I was in the bath and after. When I went to bed I was gone in 3,2,1 Zzzzzz! Then woke up with a toothache but sure these things are sent to try us. I will buy more of these before Christmas and give it a big thumbs up. Anyone that follows me on twitter may know that I struggle with sleep but have to say this really helped. I was worried with the colour been so deep that it would leave a stain on the bath but it didn't just a tiny bit of residue at the bottom of the bath that was easily washed away. My skin was also really soft after it too so extra bonus points for that!

Final Colour of the Bath Bomb
Price:
€4.40

Rating:
5/5 without a doubt!

Lillibug's Clothes from Mothercare

Lillibug is going to be two at the end of November, so I picked up a few bits in Mothercare for her. She is in between sizes at the moment meaning 18-24 months are either too short or tight and 2-3 is too long and loose.

One thing I have noticed where I live is that you can't get a pair of jeans for my little girl that aren't skinny. Lillibug hasn't got skinny legs for them and they pinch her knees and thighs which is not nice for a child, so I was delighted when I saw these bootcut jeans for €12.50 and it has an elastic waist.

Now that we are getting into the colder weather we were in need of long sleeved t-shirts, which were 2 for €10.00. They are really cute and can't wait to put the Santa one on her.

I went onto the Mothercare website when I got home hoping to order another pair of jeans but they have very little clothing on their website which I was disappointed with. Hopefully they'll change that in the near future!

LUSH Haul

I was up in Dublin Thursday which is a rarity and knew that I had to make a pit-stop into LUSH on Henry Street. I like to be quick when I go in because all the smells together give me a whopper of a headache, so I knew what I wanted in advance. When the girls came up to me and I told them what I was looking for I was out in 10 with no headache but glittery hands and an extra item on the list!

Lush Mini Haul
1. Luxury Lush Pud
The sales assistant told me this is meant to be good if used before bed because of the Lavendar going through it so I grabbed this with both hands! Going to try this one out tomorrow night.
Review of this up already right here.

2. Shoot for the Stars
The main ingredient is bergamot and this bath bomb smells delish! The colours are so pretty so can't wait for them to swirl around my bath.

3. Star Light, Star Bright
It's a Christmas Bath melt and it was my mum who told me all about this! This has Shea butter and is meant to make my skin all soft, which is exactly what I need right now. Be warned this is loaded with glitter and was all over me much to my little ones amusement :-)

4. Santa's Lip Scrub
I am a big fan of Lush lip scrubs and usually go for Mint Julips but decided on something different as it's nearly the season to be merry. This is a red coloured lip scrub and is cola flavoured.

5. Ponche Shower Gel
This has orange juice and a shot of tequila. It's just a pity it's not for drinking! It smells fruity and tropical and is inspired by a Mexican Christmas punch. "Boozy, fruity, and uplifting" is it's tagline. The girls sold me on this when they mentioned tequila so it went straight into the basket!

Charity Reindeer Car Accessory; I'm going to fly my way up the M50!*

I first saw these two years ago on my way to Dublin on the M50 and I searched high and low for it but they were all sold out. So four weeks ago I saw these in an Apple Garage and just had to buy it. It cost €10.00 and even better €1.00 goes to the LauraLynn Children's Hospice!

You stick the antlers on the window and the nose on the grill of your car and your ready to go.

How cool does that car look dressed up as Rudolph?

*It does say that you should not drive at more than 40mph which I think is 64.3km but please don't quote me on the conversion, but if that's right I can just keep to the country roads around where I live and it should survive.

I saw these in Heatons yesterday too if your interested in getting some for your car or from the LauraLynn online shop here!

I had heard of the LauraLynn Ireland's Children's Hospice and the wonderful work they do but truly started to understand more after reading The Life Story of an Irish Baby Called Victoria and Beyond
LauraLynn provides respite, home support, crisis and end of life support for sick children aged from birth to 18 years.

MikaB Teething Jewellery

I have always struggled to help my little one with her teething woes and now that I have a wisdom tooth about to pop up I feel like such a wimp compared to my little Lillibug. She goes though it with grace and ladylike precision unlike her mother who wanted someone to knock me out with a frying pan and wake up when the pain is gone. So when Dominika from MikaB Teething Jewellery contacted me to try out her jewellery I jumped at the chance.

MikaB Teething Jewellery

The Product:
Safe for babies to chew on and help with their teething and a fashionable piece of jewellery for mum, you will be getting a multi-functional product here!

There are 3 different pieces of jewellery to choose from: Pendants, Necklaces and Bangles and each comes in a range of colours to choose from. They are made of non-toxic food grade silicone which is also what bottle nipples are made from as well as soothers, and all the jewellery is BPA free. The jewellery is very simple to look after, as it just needs a quick thorough wash with soap and warm water and it's ready to go again. If you start to see wear and tear then it's time to discard your jewellery. The pendancts and necklaces come with a breakaway clasp for added safety and comfort and complies with EN71 toy safety standards.

Breakaway Clasp

The Packaging:
Each piece of jewellery comes in a clear plastic pouch which I have been reusing to keep them safe when not in use. It stands out because you can see the jewellery straight away! It also contains a little information card inside. The whole package is really attractive.

MikaB Teething Pendants & Bangle

Overall Verdict:
I really like wearing these and thought they were really handy for keeping little on occupied she especially liked the bangle which she puts on to play with but as with anything she was never left unattended. Unfortunately she never took to chewing on them even with two painful molars making their way up.

I asked a friend of mine who has a little girl of 10 months to try out one of the pendants but her little girl didn't take to chewing on it either. My friends said that it "Would be great for a baby that likes to be carried around".

I would buy this for any new mum as I think it is a wonderful concept that would work on babies from birth that are been held and like to chew on things for comfort or to relieve teething pain. If I was doing it all over again I would buy this for newborn. So for now they are a wonderful distraction for Lillibug. The breakaway clasp also worked when Lillibug yanked it from my neck and it didn't hurt at all. It has been wonderful to wear some jewellery again without the worry of a burned neck from it being pulled off our losing bits of beads from a chain that can become a choking hazard. For mums with very young babies this product would be a great little investment.

Prices:
Bangles €9.50
Pendants €12.50
Necklaces €16.50

Oh how I can dream of one day winning the Lotto!
I can't believe we are into November now so to me that means the countdown to Christmas has well and truly started (to my hubby's dismay and my mum's but dad is on my side as well as Lillibug)!
I have been looking online so much the last few days for gift ideas and I was just bowled over by the 4 products I have on my wishlist. A girl can always dream, can't she?!
